Species of Exobasidium Woronin on some islands of Keret’ archipelago (White Sea)
Abstract
Data about species of Exobasidium (phyla Basidiomycota), collected on some islands of Keret’ archipelago is presented. These parasitic fungi are characterized by different types of infection occurring on host-plants (family Ericaceae). Total of 10 species were found and 9 of them were reported for the first time in this region. Presented list is based on unpublished data of the authors. Information concerning occurrence, distribution and extent of injury of fungi on host-plant is given. Ex. vaccinii on Vaccinium vitis-idaea and Ex. pachysporum on Vaccinium myrtillus dominated in most of islands. Ex. rostrupii on Oxycoccus palustris and Ex. sundstroemii on Andromeda polifolia are considered as rare. The host plants on the observed territory are mainly affected by a single species of Exobasidium. Refs 8. Figs 3. Tables 2.
