Expression of the gene AMT1;6, coding the ammonium transporter in Chlamydomonas reinhardtii
Abstract
Relative quantitative analysis of the expression for AMT1;6 Chlamydomonas reinhardtii grown on different nitrogen sources has shown that ammonium stimulates transcription of the gene of interest unlike other genes of CrAMT1 family. Transporter CrAmt1.6 is considered as a candidate for the role of an exporter of ammonium from cells.
