Abstract

Records of 30 new and rare in the Chelyabinsk region species of vascular plants, growing on the mires and their edges, are reported. This information lets us specify the data on distribution and the range limits of some rare species of the mires in the Southern Urals. One subspecies (Rumex acetosa subsp. fontano-paludosus) is reported for the first time. New location of the extremely rare mire species (Trichophorum cespitosum, Rhynchospora alba, Schoenus ferrugineus, Juncus stygius, Salix phylicifolia, Betula nana) are found. Glyceria triflora, Ranunculus gmelinii, Trichophorum alpinum are reported for the first time for the forest-steppe zone. The most species mentioned above need protection and are in the Red Book of the Chelyabinsk region and neighboring regions. Refs 20.
