Drug resistance significantly reduces efficiency of TB therapy. Mutations associated with drug resistance were described for many anti-tuberculosis drugs. However the frequency of these drug-resistance mutations in <em>Mycobacterium tuberculosis</em> strains may vary in different geographical regions. Here we describe the mechanisms of action and resistance to major anti-tuberculosis drugs.</p> ER -
